I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults, providing expert behavioral and cognitive-behavioral interventions. My goal is to help my patients navigate life's challenges and develop the necessary skills to be happy, healthy, and successful.

Hello! I’m Dr. Kelsey Woods. I’m a Licensed Clinical Psychologist.

I completed my PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park. During my time there, I had the honor of being a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, which allowed me to delve deeper into my interest in psychological research. I was privileged to train at multiple renowned institutions, including the Kennedy Krieger Institute, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, and Children's National Hospital, as well as several reputable private practices in the Annapolis and DC areas. These experiences provided me with invaluable hands-on experience and exposure to a diverse range of populations and clinical challenges. In addition to my clinical training, I actively contributed to the field through my scholarly work. I authored numerous journal articles, book chapters, and conference presentations on topics such as ADHD, emotion regulation, executive functioning, parenting, and selective mutism. As an avid consumer of research, I firmly believe in utilizing the latest empirical evidence in conjunction with patient preferences and needs to guide treatment and assessment practices. This commitment to evidence-based practice ensures that I am providing the highest quality of care to my patients.

Through a compassionate and evidence-based approach, I empower my patients to make positive changes in their lives. Together, we work towards understanding their unique experiences and finding effective solutions to challenges and concerns. With my expertise and experience, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and learn strategies and skills to support their optimal functioning in their everyday lives. I am dedicated to helping my patients achieve their full potential and improve their overall well-being.

Outside of the office, I can be found spending time with my family (including my rescue dog, Jay Jay!) and friends, getting creative with crafts or confections, and cheering on the Ravens and Terps. My “happy place” is by the ocean with a good cup of coffee and a good book.

I am licensed to practice in Maryland. I also have the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology and can practice telepsychology under the authority of PSYPACT in PSYPACT participating states. For a list of PSYPACT states, please visit psypact.org.
